In the early hours of Friday, a fire erupted in three shops located in the Thane district of Maharashtra, which was brought under control within approximately 40 minutes, according to an official report.
Yasin Tadvi, head of the disaster management cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, confirmed that the blaze occurred in the Jivdani Nagar area of Diva, and fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
The fire department received the alert at 3:07 AM. The affected shops were reportedly housing statues made of POP (Plaster of Paris).
To ensure safety from electrical hazards during firefighting efforts, personnel from the fire department were joined by employees from the local electricity distribution company at the scene. The firefighting operation was concluded by 3:45 AM, although the cause of the fire remains undetermined.
